De Vere & Co strengthens its Computer Forensics capabilities

The De Vere & Co computer forensics offering has been strengthened with the addition to the management team of Geoffrey Waller.

Geoff joins De Vere & Co from Microsoft’s Global Security & Investigations business as a Senior Lead Investigator for EMEA. His career thus far has included service with the Police in their Fraud Squad and Computer Crime Unit and with QCCIST Ltd as their Head of Computer Forensics. He is advancing our offering with a new state of the art laboratory.

Computer forensics is an invaluable resource when it comes to gathering evidence of fraud and misdemeanours and critically in tracing flows of money. Imaging, data mining and forensic analysis techniques allow us to reproduce electronic documents (including 'deleted' emails and files) that could evidence the involvement of particular individuals in a fraud, provide leads to the location of assets, aid asset recovery and establish patterns of computer misconduct. Using cutting edge technology we can recover deleted data and re-create entire accounting systems, as well as analyse the financial information resulting from this.
